Volentia Translation

We are a non-profit society providing free healthcare interpretation and translation services to immigrants, newcomers, and those with low English-language proficiency. Our team of over 100 volunteers facilitate healthcare conversations to ensure that patient concerns are clearly communicated and understood by their healthcare providers. In the research setting, we equip research investigators with free language translators and interpreters to promote diversity among research populations. The range of language services we offer includes, but is not limited to; Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, Farsi, and Spanish. By providing free language services to patients and promoting diversity in healthcare research, our goal is to increase the accessibility of culturally safe healthcare, advance health equity, and ultimately improve health outcomes for BIPOC, minorities, and other marginalized communities.
