For young children, finances are often not discussed. It is often considered an "adult" subject, but the reality is that it is never to early to learn about the importance of having healthy finances. Many high schoolers don't know what encompasses personal finances, or even how to apply for a college loan. We are here to change that.
As a group we look to help shape the financial future of the youth of Gainesville. We are a student organization at the University of Florida that travels to high schools across Alachua County, educating students on the importance of financial responsibility, and just what this encompasses. Presentation subjects range from how to budget to how to apply for FAFSA. We target middle and high school students because it is never to early to learn about the long lasting impacts that financial decisions can have.
