The Nanoscience Institute for Medical and Engineering Technology (NIMET) is a university-wide institute that serves to focus and coordinate research and educational activities across the University of Florida (UF) in the fields of nanoscale science, engineering, technology, and their applications. At UF, research at the nanoscale, as well as that enabled by nanotechnology, has developed in several colleges and now involves over 220 faculty and staff from physics, chemistry, materials, engineering, biology, medicine, food/agricultural sciences, and other departments.
