Regional Laboratory on Urban Governance for Health and Well-being

The Regional Lab on UGHW is an initiative by the WHO South-East Asia Regional Office (WHO-SEARO) together with the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Chulalongkorn University (CUURP) as a key partner. The Regional Lab on UGHW aims to empower cities in the WHO’s South-East Asia Region to better address social, economic, and environmental determinants of health as well as to promote health equity and well-being through good governance. This initiative will draw lessons learned from existing health, social, and environmental interventions that contribute to health equity and well-being to generate appropriate approaches and evidence for the designation of healthy cities network in South-East Asia. The WHO’s South-East Asia Region includes 11 countries: Bangladesh, Bhutan, DPR Korea, India, Indonesia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Timor Leste.
