Ugiat Technologies

Ugiat Technologies is a technology firm focused on the design of advanced processing systems and artificial intelligence solutions with the aim of automatically analyzing, measuring and understanding audiovisual content. We are a spin-off from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), founded in 2015 and participated by UPC and Telefonica-Movistar. Our know-how and developed technology is applied to a wide range of topics related with digital image/audio processing, media analysis, computer vision, language understanding and artifical intelligence. This technology can be grouped in a list of relevant applications: + Recogniton systems of persons, characters, objects, type of scenes, logos, and other image/audio patterns. + Keywords extraction, entity recognition and classification, audio transcription, captioning and semantic content summarization. + Media content categorization, automatic video and textual summaries. + Dataset of generation and indexing of audiovisual metadata for retrieval and knowledge extraction. All these tools have been applied in several applications/products: + Enhance user experience to navigate smartly through media content. + Define and insert contextual ads by deteting the best insertion moments and understanding the content of the media as well as the target ads. + Improve user accessibility by transcribing, translating and dubbing the media content. + Automate solutions or assist the specialists with high level features extracted from the media analysis. + Monitor and track audio and video events. + High semantic summarization and segmentation through the language and image understanding.
