My first job as an engineer started as a DSNG operator where I consolidated my background in telecommunication systems learning from practical scenarios. The next step in my professional career is related with the research and development of software tools to automate repetitive tasks using image processing techniques and computer vision.During my stage at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) I met a fantastic team with whom we created a UPC spin-off. UGIAT Technologies S.L. is the name of this company and our vision is to improve the user quality experience through the analysis and understanding of images and other media. Our first product is smArDS and it is focused on finding the best mid-roll points to insert publicity. The smArDS concept is highlighted in the attached video.Specialities: Image processing, audiovisual signal processing, pattern recognition, programming, satellite and terrestrial communications, telecommunications.
