Umana is born with the intention of playing our part in the sustainability of the planet. We want to contribute to this objective from the proximity of local production, craftsmanship and the added value of using natural, sustainable, and ecological materials. Being close and producing in Spain also allows us to guarantee a fundamental value that is Human Quality in production through good work standards, a high level of training and fair wages. We take care of production, minimizing the exploitation of natural resources and minimizing the emission of CO2 or polluting particles into the atmosphere. The main axis of Umana's evolution will be the proximity between production and final consumer to minimize our carbon footprint. Our line of jute and sustainable fibers sneakers is a modern process with roots from the past that preserves the essence, tradition and craftsmanship of centuries of history, handcrafted in La Rioja, Spain.
