Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE)

The United Nations Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE) puts sustainability at the heart of global economic policymaking for a shift in finance and investment towards a just, circular, and green economic transformation. PAGE is a flagship initiative that helps countries transition to green, circular, and inclusive economies. It brings together the expertise of five UN agencies – UNEP, UNDP, ILO, UNIDO and UNITAR – that support partner countries in their green transition by providing policy advice, assessments, capacity development and analytical tools outputs. PAGE is a demand-driven initiative, well-positioned to respond to the specific needs and priorities of countries. By directly linking to national planning frameworks, PAGE facilitates the integration of green and circular economy principles through evidence-based analysis and policy advice. Thanks to this integrated approach and support of a wide range of partners, PAGE is recognized as a model to deliver coordinated support of UN to countries for achieving Sustainable Development Goals and targets of the Paris Agreement. PAGE was launched in 2013 as a response to the call at Rio+20 to support countries addressing one of the greatest challenges of our time: building economies that improve human well-being and social equity, while significantly reducing environmental risks and ecological scarcities.
