Faculty for Mechanical Engineering - UniBw M

We, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at University of the Bundeswehr Munich, strive to offer not only the best education but also to conduct excellent, future-oriented research. Thus, we always work on finding solutions to current and future challenges. The topics of sustainability, mobility, and additive manufacturing are among others especially important to us. At our faculty the students are not just one student among many but we offer an ideal study atmosphere in small groups with close contact to the lecturers. Everything the students have learnt they can try and experience in our 18 modern research labs. We offer three different bachelor degrees: Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, and Defence Engineering (German: Wehrtechnik). After the bachelor’s students can also do a master’s in Computer Aided Engineering at our faculty. Research: We conduct excellent research that is focused on current and future-oriented topics. Thus, we publish regularly our research in the leading journals of our field and present results at important conferences. To make our research even more applicable, we collaborate with companies and organisations.
