The Mechanical Engineering Student Society (MESS) is a newly affiliated club founded to provide events and activities targeted at mechanical engineering students. MESS aims to provide regular social events such as bbq’s throughout the semester, as well as to give students industry exposure through industry nights and other professional events.
Club Aims:
1. To provide opportunities for earlier year mechanical engineering students to get involved with final year projects.
2. To encourage closer interaction and feedback between staff and students within the Mechanical Engineering Faculty.
3. To facilitate mechanical engineering industry interaction and networking opportunities.
4. To provide free/affordable lunches and drinks that are timetabled around mechanical engineering lectures and classes.
5. All the above are aimed at creating a more unified environment for mechanical engineering in order to provide support amongst students.
