L'Union des Chefs Opérateurs is an association bringing together female and male directors of photography exercising their profession on all types of productions: fiction films, documentaries, advertisements, corporate movies, music videos, interactive films, animation ... In their diversity, as collaborators of creation with directors, the members of L'Union des Chefs Opérateurs have in common the vocation to bring in their sensitivity, their technical knowledge, and the relevance of their looks to the aesthetics, the narration and the conditions of production of the works. The purpose of L'Union is to - promote exchanges, reflections and transmission between its members - communicate in order to make themselves known and give visibility to its members - communicate about the profession of cinematographer to ensure its place in the creation process and explain to professionals from other departments the technical, logistical and legal conditions necessary for the production of images, works and programs - encourage gender parity within the profession by promoting it within the association.
