United Asphalt Company is headquartered in Cedar Brook, New Jersey and was founded in 1963 as a manufacturer of Roof Cements, Coatings and Packaged Asphalt. The company is third generation, family-owned and operated; the CEO Mark Umosella Sr. has added Tapered Edge, Elastomeric Coating, Industrial Cutbacks (Highway & Roofing) and Industrial Coatings to their manufacturing capabilities. United Asphalt’s dedication to quality doesn’t end with the packaging of their products. It shows in their attention to detail in customer service and prompt delivery. One of the unique aspects of United Asphalt’s commitment to customer service is their ability to fill and deliver less than truckload (LTL) quantities to their distributors. United Asphalt’s commitment to meeting and exceeding high standards of excellence has made the company successful in the roofing industry for over sixty years. Because of all of the above, United Asphalt is a full service company offering a full line of roofing products. Our manufactured brands are Armour Proof Coatings, Del-Val, Roof-Master & United Cants & Tapered Edge. In 2025, United Asphalt Company opened its second plant location in Port Arthur, Texas to be able to support distribution out west in the Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma and beyond regions.
