URI ESTEEMED

The NIH-funded University of Rhode Island Enhancing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Education Diversity (URI ESTEEMED) Scholarship and Education Program is designed to provide support and training for students typically underrepresented in STEM fields. The goal of the program is to prepare freshmen and sophomores in STEM majors to conduct biomedical- and engineering-related research through academic, social, and research skills development. We seek students who are interested in learning more about research in biomedical sciences, bioengineering, biomedical engineering, and health sciences. ESTEEMED scholars will receive financial support during and will be given exceptional opportunities and support to ensure maximal success and high academic achievement.
