Urja Developers was incorporated in 2016 in Nepal with the aim to be a holistic solution provider for renewable energy (RE), mainly hydropower. Urja Developers, as an umbrella or group of companies, has four wholly-owned subsidiaries and strategic business units (SBUs).
The subsidiaries are primarily the service provider companies and SBUs are the individual hydropower project companies. Through these companies, the Urja group envisions harnessing 1000 MW hydropower and RE potential by 2030, contributing towards the Government of Nepal’s longer-term aim of generating all its electricity from renewable sources, particularly hydropower and solar PV (Photovoltaics).
