Building upon Utah State University’s land-grant legacy, we serve the state by equipping decision makers with the data they need to drive informed land, water, and air policy for Utah. The Institute is a major interdisciplinary initiative which focuses on convening the right stakeholders to research, study, and better understand the daunting challenges facing Utah. More than ever, when Utah landscapes swing between extreme drought and unprecedented flooding, the state needs data-informed answers. We've been dubbed the “red telephone” for challenges with Utah’s shared natural resources.
