Ut Embedded Scholars

Ut Embedded Scholars company information, Employees & Contact Information

The Embedded Scholars program combines in-depth classroom training in the spring with summer internships in democracy assistance abroad to launch students’ work in the field while advancing democratic development. Directed by Zachary Elkins and Ashley Moran, the program is based in the University of Texas at Austin’s Government Department and implemented in partnership with CID Gallup, the Comparative Constitutions Project, International IDEA, the National Democratic Institute, and Transparency International. Funded by Texas Global and the Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies, the program provides unparalleled opportunities for students to work with CID Gallup and International IDEA in Latin America, with International IDEA in Europe, and with the National Democratic Institute and Transparency International in the Balkans and Eurasia. Students support a range of ongoing democracy assistance programs and engage in original research. The fellowship is open to all undergraduate and graduate students of any major at UT Austin. We invite you to learn more about the program and contact us at embeddedscholars@utexas.edu with any questions on the program activities or application process. We look forward to hearing from you!
