You'd be surprised to learn that most mobile apps, websites, devices in the modern world use Linux-based servers. Over 67% of the web servers run Linux. And Linux is the only operating system that powers Top 500 Supercomputers. As Linux is gaining traction in the corporate arena, a great deal of web content publishing business is being run on Linux. All Android phones and tablets on the planet run on Linux. UTS Linux Club (UTSLC) strives to promote the use of this amazing, free, and open-source operating system - Linux. We felicitate peer learning experiences around Linux through workshops, networking events, and industry connections. Our goal is to offer the following services to UTS students, staffs, and alumni. 1. Educate about the history of Linux. 2. Demonstrate the scale and power of the Linux operating system through real-world examples. 3. Show a glimpse of the ever-evolving job market and industry demands. 4. Assist in acquiring the skills needed to succeed in the subject and at work. 5. Help make industry connections and find a mentor. 6. Bring experts on the campus to share industry insights. 7. Run various Competitions and Hackathons to challenge your thinking. 8. Provide Linux Certification assistance. Everyone is welcome to join this club, whether you are just starting or are an expert in the field. And this won't be formal; We'll complement every workshop with fun activities, quizzes, networking events, socializing, and drinking with like-minded people.
