We’ve been part of the Tumut community for almost half a century. In that time, it has been our privilege to give people the support they need to lead fuller lives, gain satisfying work, and show the world at large the true potential of their hearts, minds and bodies. We began as a small team of volunteers. Now we are a not-for-profit charitable entity, limited by guarantee, supporting the elderly and more than 300 people with disabilities, aged 18 to 65, across south-east NSW and the ACT. Our work is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors with a wide range of business and community knowledge. Our main priority is finding you the right support people and the right support arrangements. You deserve the help of someone you trust and like, someone who is properly trained and enjoys their job. That’s why we pay so much attention to finding great staff. Once we find them, we do everything we can to make sure they’re happy and see Valmar as their employer of choice. This way, our team gets to know you better and you benefit from an unbroken connection to your support person.
