Vertical Growth

Vertical growth (VC, hereafter) helps small and medium-scale farmers by providing technological tools and financial assistance to give them exposure to the market. The technological tools include farm mapping and analyzing farm productivity and efficiency. This is then used to estimate the output value that these farmers can expect at the end of the farming cycle. VC then negotiates prices with retailers and wholesalers on behalf of the farmers who often do not have market access due to big established farmers. Furthermore, the company seeks to provide consulting services on the quality of seeds, soil, water and farming techniques to ensure that farmers have the best possible quality produce output that can be sold in the market. As accessibility to funding is a challenge to most farmers, VC provides short to medium term loans to farmers based the potential of the farm and our vetting process which will assess whether the farmer has a good tracking record before granting the loans.
