Vesiq BV is a medical device start-up founded in Enschede in the Netherlands in 2018. Vesiq is developing the next generation of urodynamics. With the new Vesiq system testing will become more accurate, quicker and easier. This will save costs and improve patient wellbeing.
Urodynamics is a diagnostic study of how well the bladder, sphincters and urethra are functioning. When performed correctly, they are the only tests to really evaluate the function of the lower urinary tract and accurately diagnose the cause of urinary incontinence (UI). However, current systems have serious shortcomings. Therefore test results are often inconclusive, and regularly doctors choose not to perform a test. Patients are then put through a succession of ineffective and inappropriate treatments. Our system will change this.
Vesiq will sell its products to hospitals, independent doctors and medical testing companies through a network of selected local or regional distributors.
