Development both under own brand and as private label products.Best Medical was a developer and manufacturer of devices for urology and gynecology. When I joined we worked mostly on development of devices for other manufacturers. Initially I worked as project manager and lead designer on design and development on several devices, such a of a series of EMG-probes for biofeedback training and a range of catheters. Around 2012 we started developing our own line of products. The first product was a urodynamics system that consisted of various devices for uroflowmetry, filling the bladder of the patient and measurement of physiological parameters such as bladder and urethral pressure and pelvic floor muscle activity (through EMG-measurement). As R&D Manager I was responsible for coordinating Research and Development and for implementing the product development plans. I also managed the development subcontractors that we used, for example for development of electronics hardware and software. I was also personally involved in the execution of the product development projects. I lead the team that created the concept design and system architecture, and I did a lot of the mechanical design and engineering work for the devices. I was also responsible for most of the specifications and requirements documents. Show less
