Their program will be tested in a WA Regional Hospital, and if successful, expanded nationwide. A laminated pro forma allows veterans to communicate their specific needs during triage. The goal is to provide tailored support and trauma-informed treatment to veterans in need. These glasses help reduce sensory overload and prevent triggers that can worsen PTSD symptoms. The third item provided is weighted blankets. These blankets offer deep pressure stimulation, which has a calming effect on the nervous system. They provide a sense of comfort and grounding, helping veterans manage their anxiety and stress.
