Vid Sertsya Budova NGO projects aims to address Ukraine's modern challenges. The goal of our team is to provide permanent housing for Ukrainian IDPs and refugees with a proactive attitude who are ready to change themselves and the country. To create a human-centered space accessible to people of different income levels and offer many opportunities to develop their human potential, professional and business skills. We plan to build a safe and self-sufficient 15-minute "city within a city" based on innovation and sustainable development principles. The city will be built on 118 hectares of land 5 km from Kyiv and will be able to provide housing for 25,000+ people. United Nations SDGs and principles of the UN-Habitat Program are an important guide for us. We focus on implementing circular and shared economy approaches, supporting biodiversity and sustainable construction. Energy, water and waste management systems are three key pillars of the project's infrastructure resilience. To make them efficient and safe, we will use the expertise of the world's best technical universities. Our mission is to transform the city into a global training centre for sustainable development practices. In order to generate employment, multidisciplinary training centres will be created, whose activities will be aimed at training in-demand professionals and re-skilling people. This will apply to both residents and visitors of the city, which will provide a steady stream of income to the city budget. To support business initiatives, it is planned to create an ecosystem of social impact businesses in the city through the launch and development of incubation and acceleration programs. We are forming a consortium to work on the creation of the city. MIT (USA), TU Delft (Netherlands), HEC Business School (USA) are already involved in project activities.
