Villa Matilde

We would like to focus your attention on Southern Italy’s vineyards and we wish it will be a way to increase the knowledge of our business based on a long, patient and passionate effort linked to history of our products. Villa Matilde is a agricultural firm situated on the hills of the " Massico ", heart of the old production area of the historical wine " Falerno ", where we have 70 hectars of vineyards planted to Falanghina grape, for to make “white Falerno” , Aglianico grape and Piedirosso grape indigenous variety that we use together to produce our “Red Falerno”. Others 50 hectars of vineyards are located in the province of Benevento and Avellino, in the area know as Rocca dei Leoni and Altavilla estate, where we produce Greco di Tufo, Fiano, Taurasi. Aglianico and Falanghina. Our collaborator of excellence is Riccardo Cotarella, the oenologist that works with us since 1995. Thanks to our work and to continue looking for perfection, we received over the past years several awards from The Wine Advocate, Gambero Rosso - Slow Food (Italian Guide of wine), Sommelier Italian Association, The Wine Spectator and many others.
