The enthusiastic KALATZIS team at INM Montpellier (France) specialized in inherited retinal dystrophies (IRDs), works on identifying genetic origins of IRDs, modelling IRDs with retinal pigment epithelium and retinal organoid cultures derived from human iPSc, and developing novel pharmacological treatments, as well as gene therapy or genome editing approaches.
