Vistek was founded in 1998 by Dr Valdis Svars and has developed into an engineering practice focused on achieving elegant solutions to complex structural issues.
Vistek provides structural design services to the residential, commercial and industrial markets and are blast resistant design experts for structures sited in hazardous environments, both in Australia and overseas.
We are also involved in specialist design services for signage, branded environments, facade treatments, wayfinding, outdoor advertising and temporary installations.
Vistek strongly believes in the future role of sustainable timber in construction and are excited to now be working with clients exploring the possibilities for new timber technologies such as Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) in the local Australian market.
We believe that good design lies at the heart of a good structural design practice, and although we are proficient in some very serious analysis and modelling packages, we believe that a pencil and paper are still the most powerful tools at an engineer’s disposal.
