Vivekananda School of Journalism and Mass Communication (VSJMC) Placement Cell of Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS) is a student-run body headed by teacher convenors assigned by the department working towards the common goal of getting all the students placed in various companies. VIPS pin a value on, “To establish, maintain and promote Centres of Excellence for imparting quality professional education in India and abroad. VSJMC is committed to perceiving the words of Swami Vivekananda “Man Making, Character Building, National Building.” For over a decade, VSJMC has led the way to journalism and mass communication’s future by providing hands-on experience and intensive training to its students. VSJMC confides in the values of the students and assists them in the best possible way to acquire the required skill. VSJMC has top-notch infrastructure such as Editing Lab, Communication Lab, Radio Studio & Television Studio as well as a highly proficient faculty, the amalgamation of which has enabled one to produce both Industry Leaders and University Toppers. The VSJMC Placement Cell aims to create a platform for the students as well as for the companies to look out for on-campus and off-campus placements. The VSJMC Placement Cell, VIPS by diving/living upon its experience and ability in Mass Communication Industry, is doing reformist endeavours to prepare its students to face the world and eclipse in the media business. The VSJMC Placement Cell strives to provide maximum opportunities to the students by providing them with varied possible companies to the campus for placements. Since the year 2005, the students of VSJMC have been recruited by top most media houses and corporate sectors like Zee media, The Hindu, Hindustan Times, Times of India.
