The mantra on lower taxes and less government doesn’t contribute to just distribution of wealth. It is possible to create a fair taxation system that leads to ways where everyone benefits. The Vermont Democratic Party stands for the public good.
We understand that state government can and must take the lead against the policies of a divisive Republican President, Governor, and Congress, and an increasingly right-wing federal judiciary.
