The Wagnalls Memorial Foundation is privately owned and serves as a fiduciary agent for the Memorial Library, Community Theater, and Scholarship Program. The Foundation was founded in 1925 by Mabel Wagnalls Jones shortly after the dedication of the Wagnalls Memorial.
