The Western Canada Career Development Association (WCCDA) is the professional home for career development practitioners across Western Canada. Formed through a legacy of collaboration and leadership in the field, we serve a growing community of professionals committed to supporting people at every stage of their career journey. Our members work in diverse settings; government-funded employment programs, community-based non-profits, private employment service firms, post-secondary institutions, corporate environments, and beyond. Together, they represent the heart of our region’s career development sector. At WCCDA, we support our members through: Professional development and learning opportunities tailored to real-world needs—including webinars, workshops, and events designed to support continuous learning and the ongoing maintenance of the national Certified Career Development Professional (CCDP®) designation. Networking and community building to foster collaboration, peer learning, and a sense of belonging among career development professionals across Western Canada. Events and conferences, including the region’s leading annual Western Canada Career Development Conference, where practitioners gather to exchange ideas, explore trends, and strengthen their professional practice.
