Diane and Mark Knudsen founded Wealth Building Business Solutions (WBBS) in 2018 out of a passion to serve business owners in a way that made their lives better. As business owners ourselves, we had witnessed service providers who never taught us or our people to fish, thereby fostering a continuing dependence. Worse, sometimes simple adjustments or suggestions could have reduced our needs, yet advise was never offered that could have streamlined operations, and given us the space to focus more strategically.
WBBS purchased The Alternative Board (TAB) – Ventura County as our first line of offense. As we embarked on the sometimes overwhelming task of introducing the peer advisory model to business owners in Ventura County CA, we were validated in our concern for the well-being of these critical members of our business community. What we found was a tremendous number of Owners, Founders, and CEO’s whose marriages and family lives were devastated by their obsessive focus on the success of their business. But what solution is there, when “the buck stops here?” Too often the gap between the owner and management is just too big to get out of the weeds, or the support available to senior executives lacks diversity of thought to support innovation.
