Winning. It’s a mindset that we're determined to instil in young people, to show them what they’re capable of. It’s about not giving up on ourselves or each other. When we adopt this mentality, we realise that every failure, together, can be overcome.
Development. Everyone deserves opportunities, whoever they are and wherever they’ve come from. Our WDGU programmes are designed to encourage personal growth and equip young people with the skills they need to shape their own futures.
Grit. Get knocked down, get back up again. At WDGU, we work on resilience, in and out of the ring, physically and mentally. We constantly chase opportunities and partnerships that can change the course of a young person’s life.
Unity. We have a collective responsibility to put a stop to violent crime. All of us. Businesses, communities, parents, volunteers, and young adults in our gyms. We can achieve great things when we put our heads together.
Working together with former World Champion boxer, Tony Bellew, our Liverpool City Region-wide approved gyms, various learning, education & development institutions and our 'wrap-around' health & wellbeing partners, WDGU has developed programmes that provide young people with a chance of gaining full-time employment, often for the first time in their lives.
