The Karmann Story
Karmann was born with the intent to carve sustainable livelihood paths for persons with intellectual (dis)abilities. Through the idea, we identified ways of empowering them with mastery over the crafts of appliqué, patchwork, embroidery, and quilting. Trained persons with intellectual disabilities pour their love into every stitch to craft contemporary home décor & lifestyle products.
Our artisans create bespoke products of high quality which are handmade with care. Karmann also offers corporate gifting options and hampers, made with love by our artisans.
Our fabrics are sustainable and ethically sourced. Our products are consciously packaged. With Karmann, you are mindful of your choices for the planet and the people.
Each piece is handcrafted with threads of patience, colors of perseverance, and fabric of love.
Karmann is the brainchild of Sudhir Shenoy, Sr. Vice President at EQUATE & Philanthropist. He is committed to building self-sufficient & socially healthy communities for persons with IDD, Down Syndrome and Autism.
