We started Born & Raised serving hot, topped waffles from our converted horse trailer at events across Northern Ireland. As the world adapted to various new normals during the pandemic, we did our best to adapt too. During lockdown we took a few weeks to consider how our business could survive…home delivery was the answer. It was the first time we had offered our bakes at home and it forever changed our business. We found a new direction, a new rhythm and a more family focused working life. With restrictions eased, we offer our Liège waffles for collection from our home bakery and have now launched the Stroopwafel that can be posted across the UK.
It’s a joy to do what I love and for the heart of it to be at home. We are incredibly grateful to the customers that keep our business going, that have supported us through difficult times and beyond…you really are the best bunch of wafflers!
