A Registered Mental Nurse with 30 years’ experience across various mental health areas including Primary care and Occupational Health.
Carol is client-focussed, proactive, positive and really passionate about the service she delivers. Her aim is to provide a service that reduces the stigma of mental health, make it easier for people to recognise symptoms, obtain advice and access appropriate services to help them manage their mental health more effectively.
The training Carol provides is educational, increasing awareness of signs, symptoms and techniques to manage the impact of stress, depression and anxiety. This is a start to increased self-awareness, knowing which services are available and how to access them. This not only reduces the stigma, but can have a preventative impact on mental health for individuals, their families and the workplace.
Both personally and professionally, Carol cares about people. She says her family are so important to her, as are her clients and customers. "I respect and value people’s opinions and treat everyone as an equal. I love different, it’s great. My therapeutic work enables clients to recognise the choices they have, empowering them to make positive changes".
As well as being a Registered Mental Nurse, Carol is trained in counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and group work. This enables her to offer a unique service for both individuals and teams making it a personal, bespoke and & tailored service to meet the specific needs.
The wide range of services includes 1-2-1 therapeutic interventions, mental health training for teams, mental health training for managers and group work such as managing stress and stress risk assessments. These are all based on increasing awareness, how we manage situations, triggers, thoughts, feelings and behaviour more effectively.
