We've established the first full-scale craft distillery in the Peak District region, with a focus on creating authentic spirits with unique favour. This region has a deep heritage in brewing and innovation, and both are at the core of our DNA.
In building the distillery we revisited every stage in the whisky-making process, with a particular emphasis on mashing and fermentation. We use live, fresh yeast to develop flavours in our whisky that celebrate the regions history in brewing.
The distillery was also a regeneration project; industrial sheds that were once part of a 19th century wire works that was at the heart of a community and now part of a UNESCO World Heritage site famous as the home of the industrial revolution.
Our core spirit is a premium, lightly-peated, single-malt first released, unique in the English whisky scene.
