About WHO South Pacific
Pacific countries and areas span thousands of islands home to 3.4 million people. Our priorities are articulated in the Pacific islands WHO Multi-country Cooperation Strategy 2024-2029: support countries to strengthen health systems and services to achieve universal health coverage; reduce the burden of noncommunicable diseases; and enhance resilience to health emergencies and other health threats including climate-related impacts. WHO in the South Pacific provides direct support to 12 Pacific island countries and areas: Fiji, Kiribati, French Polynesia, Guam, Nauru, New Caledonia, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Pitcairn Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Wallis and Futuna, and Vanuatu.
