The Women in Leadership Association (WiLA) is a student-run organization at Ryerson University. It is comprised of MBA students from various disciplines with one common objective: to support Ryerson MBA women with their vision for greatness.
Most female associations talk about empowering women. We believe the women in our program are already empowered. Rather, we are here to help them achieve their goals and ambitions by providing them with technical skillsets, networks, encouragement, and support.
While WiLA is not about highlighting the differences between men and women, there are barriers and glass ceilings that exist in the world that women face on a day-to-day basis. We aim to instill confidence in women to be able to break through these barriers as well as to educate our community to blur gender lines and look at the capabilities and experiences of the individual.
