Willis Mitsui & Co Asset Management Limited (WAML) provides independent aviation consultancy, advisory solutions, and technical services across a broad spectrum of engine and aircraft types. Drawing upon its broad range of intellectual property and over 30 years of operational data, WAML’s experienced team of globally positioned full-time consultants delivers a variety of custom technical and commercial solutions to a diverse customer base, including airlines, lessors, OEMs, MROs, and financial institutions. Originally launched as Total Engine Support Limited in 1995 and acquired by Willis Lease Finance Corporation (WLFC) in 2016 to continue as Willis Asset Management Limited, the business has evolved into a trusted leader in aviation consultancy. With service capabilities which span engine fleet management programs, engine shop visit management, MRO and OEM negotiations, technical records reviews, aircraft transitions, and Part M Continuing Airworthiness Management (CAMO). The company currently manages a global portfolio of more than 800 engines, in addition to supporting over $2.5 billion worth of engines and aircraft for WLFC. As of June 2025, the business is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Willis Mitsui Engine Support (WMES), a 50/50 joint venture between Willis Lease Finance Corporation and Mitsui & Co. In line with this transaction the Consultancy and Technical Services business has been officially renamed Willis Mitsui & Co Asset Management Limited (WAML). Through this strategic partnership, WAML remains an integral part of the Willis Services platform, while now benefitting from the enhanced investment, resources, and the global commercial reach of Mitsui & Co.
