About Wireless Power Consortium

WPC is a standards development organization founded in 2008. Today, there are over 325 WPC member companies working on applications of wireless power under the Qi standard for small, mobile electronics and the Ki standard for cordless kitchen appliances. WPC’s Qi standard is the global standard for wireless charging of mobile electronics. There are over 11,000 Qi Certified products (SKUs) currently available, and that number is growing every day. Qi2, the newest generation of the Qi standard, launched in November 2023 and is already available in nearly 1.5 billion devices worldwide. WPC's newest standard, Ki, was released in the fall of 2024 and Ki enabled products will begin appearing in market in 2025. The Ki Cordless Kitchen is the kitchen of the future and has already been recognized with multiple innovation awards.
