Women's Initiative Support Group is a queer and feminist non-governmental organization that aims to help building a society based on the principles of social justice, through women's empowerment and political participation.
Women Initiatives Support Group works with the communities of lesbian and bisexual women, transgender and intersex people, women with disabilities, and women living in rural areas of Georgia.
Our goals are: to end systemic and structural discrimination; improve access to legal, social and healthcare services; economically empower our communities; enhance social and political participation.
WISG works in the following directions: Advocacy to integrate women’s and SOGIE issues in politics; Community empowerment for social and political participation; Creation of publicly accessible critical knowledge about gender and sexuality through research and artistic projects; Develope practice of intersectional queer feminist organising.
