WMT develops small molecule drugs that make use of a unique new phenomenon - the translational trap. Through a proprietary combination of A) activating relevant pathways to spur proliferation and protein production and B) stopping the execution of this order by inhibiting protein translation, our TT compounds inhibit only actively proliferating cancer cells or activated immune cells - with unprecedented selectivity.
Our first candidate, B-306, is geared towards clinical development in patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) or Systemic Lupus Erythematodus (SLE). Beyong B-306, we have started a 2nd program with a separate drug to treat severe respiratory viral infections (SARS, Covid, Influenza) and the cytokine storm associated with these.
