Workplace Learning Connection

Workplace Learning Connection, a department of Kirkwood Community College, partners with area Middle schools and High schools and local businesses and industry in coordinating high quality career exploration opportunities for students and educators. Through job shadows, internships and career events, we're developing our future workforce and talent pipeline by connecting today's students to tomorrow's careers. Workplace Learning Connection is a member of the Iowa Intermediary Network. Professional Intermediaries serve the following functions: Convene local, regional and/or state leaders, practitioners, and customers across sectors to ensure youth success. Connect and broker services to youth, public and private partners, including schools and training organizations, employers and workplace partners, social service and community organizations, and families and neighborhoods. Measure effectiveness and ensure the quality and impact of youth-serving efforts. Sustain effective practices through advocacy and progressive policies.
