World Wine Estates

World Wine Estates (WWE) is a wine importer and distributor that was established in 1988 as the import and wholesale arm of the Ultimo Wine Centre, Sydney’s famous premier wine retailer. WWE specialised in imported wines, especially French. The current owner and director, James Johnston, joined WWE in 1999. In 2005 by a mutual amicable agreement, WWE became a separate company to Ultimo Wine Centre. Since 2005, James Johnston has continued to grow World Wine Estates and has added premium Australian and New Zealand agencies to its portfolio whilst maintaining the specialist French wine focus. All our wines are carefully chosen to ensure that we offer our customers high quality wines to suit every type of business: bars, pubs, restaurants, retailers… World Wine Estates’ sales team and distribution now extends from New South Wales into Victoria, SA the ACT and Queensland.
