About Xbat.ai
Xbat.ai is a joint venture between Sortbat (https://www.sortbat.be) and VITO (https://vito.be), established to transform the battery sorting industry through intelligent, scalable technology combining 3 assets 1) batteries 2) X-ray technology and 3) Artificial Intelligence. We focus on three strategic pillars: 1. Technological innovation We have developed a groundbreaking battery sorting machine. This unique integration enables the accurate, semi-automated identification and sorting of all types of household batteries, regardless of shape, size, or chemical composition, while significantly improving safety and efficiency. 2. Commercial deployment The Xbat.ai sorting machine is already operational at Sortbat’s facility in Tienen, Belgium. It offers a new standard in sorting performance and cost-effectiveness and can be implemented in battery sorting installations across Europe and beyond. 3. Continued development and expansion We continue to work closely on the further development and refinement of the Xbat.ai technology. In parallel, Xbat.ai aims to expand the application of AI and X-ray technology to other innovative machines in the sector, further contributing to safe, intelligent, and sustainable solutions. Xbat.ai brings together deep industrial expertise and cutting-edge research to create sustainable impact through innovation.
