yapbreak, a travel agency, was born to promote all the amazing places of Portugal to Europeans through City Breaks, Conferences and a huge SpringBreak.
yapbreak was created by Antonio Duarte and he lead a team of amazing people. People with creative minds, hard-workers, starters and doers. The team consisted of: one of the best designers, a head of communication very ahead of her time, a sales manager with her sleeves rolled up all the time, a back-office support that was a shelter for the whole team and amazing promoters who always dressed the company colors.
Together with the Universities from Peniche and Aveiro, yapbreak created the “O Turismo é Awesome”. A student event with the focus on the Tourism industry. That is not all. With the University of Peniche, a university with an amazing location, yapbreak developed a three days event, with different activities and different interesting speakers. A similar event was created with the University of Aveiro, one of the most innovative universities from Portugal.
yapbreak was also responsible for the creation of the Spring Break event: “UAWESOME”. Inspired by the American concept of Spring Break, yapbreak created a six day event for university students in the beautiful Algarve. An event full of day and night activities. The “UAWESOME” teamed up with different national & international brands and organizations to offer an amazing experience to the participants.
There were different online & offline promotion campaigns to attract the target audience. Highlight the “AWESOME BUS”: a two-story bus, modified with a bar and a DJ-stage that visited 22 Portuguese cities to promote the event in 26 days.
The idea started in 2012 and arrived to an end in 2015. A short but awesome ride!
