Youth Council for Development Alternatives

The Youth Council for Development Alternatives (YCDA) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in 1993. It was registered under various legal provisions necessary for operation in the country, including the Societies Registration Act, the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA), and relevant sections of the Income Tax Act. Since its inception, the organization has been dedicated to the development of marginalized communities, guided by a team of experienced and trained social workers. YCDA’s headquarters is located in Baunsuni village, Boudh district, with regional and state offices in Balangir and Bhubaneswar, respectively. The organization’s primary focus is on implementing various demonstration projects for its target groups, aiming to bring aboutsignificant changes in their circumstances and to replicate best practices in other areas. YCDA collaborates with government agencies,Corporate bodies and international NGOs to achieve its desired outcomes. YCDA is managed by a General Council, which meets as scheduled to conduct various business transactions in accordance with theorganization’s constitution. The organization is governed by a set of policies, including HR Policy, Child Protection Policy,Financial Policy, and Gender Policy, all of which are developed through participatory processes and reviewed periodically.
