Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust

We are a registered charity working to enhance and protect the rivers of the Yorkshire Dales for the benefit of wildlife and people. We work in partnership with landowners, businesses, land managers and the public to care for the rivers, streams and catchments of the rivers Swale, Ure, Nidd, Wharfe and Ouse. We work on projects across our catchment ranging from natural flood management projects, habitat creation and education amongst many others. All of these projects are supported by volunteers who give their valuable time to help out with a range of activities including teaching, tree planting and surveying. We also offer corporate volunteer days where companies can come out into the countryside and get involved in environmental works that will benefit river health, flooding or biodiversity.
