Yeager Engineered Systems (YES) has been consulting engineers and manufacturer’s representatives in the Petroleum Industry since 1994. The firm has provided specialized services in the design, permitting, construction and testing of facilities where fuel is stored and/or dispensed. Wesley Yeager, the President & Founder of the firm, is a nationally recognized expert in designing and building municipal, commercial and retail fueling sites. His 35 years of experience has resulted in over 600 municipal commercial fueling and maintenance garages in the States of NJ, NY, and PA. Wesley is an active member of the Petroleum Equipment Institute, past Executive Officer for NJ Petroleum Equipment Contractors Association (PECA), an Executive Officer for NYC Tank Installers and a member of NFPA. Our knowledge of local, state and federal codes is extensive, as is our professional relationships with code officials. YES works on 25-50 sites per year that store or dispense ignitable liquids, including gasoline, biodiesel, jet fuel, liquified petroleum gas, propane, hydrogen and natural gas as well as other bulk liquids. The Yeager team has been a member of the Petroleum Equipment Institute for over 20 years and has recently contributed to: RP100-22 Installation of UST Systems, RP200-19 Installation of AST Systems, PEI/RP1200 Recommended Practices for the Testing and Verification of Spill, Overfill, Leak Detection and Secondary Containment Equipment at UST Facilities, PEI/RP900 The Proper Inspection and Maintenance of Underground Storage Tank Systems. Underwriters Laboratories (UL) recruited Yeager Engineered Systems to participate on the UL 1369 Safety Standard for above ground piping for ignitable liquids. This standard will play a major role in future piping installations, and awareness of it will be critical to members of ASPE.
