Welcome to Yellow Table Talk (YTT) Empowerment of Girls & Women Community A global non-profit Organization dedicated to empowering girls and young women (ages 9-24) through holistic well-being support, leadership development, and technical skills training to help them thrive in their careers, communities, and beyond. Why We Exist – Where Well-being Fuels Leadership Girls and young women globally face significant well-being challenges that hinder their ability to reach their full potential as leaders and catalysts for positive change. In the UK, 31.2% of young women (ages 17–24) experience mental health issues, more than double the rate of their male peers (NHS Digital, 2022). In the U.S., nearly 1 in 3 teen girls seriously considered suicide in 2021, a 60% increase over the past decade (CDC, 2023). Across Africa , in countries like South Africa and Nigeria, young women face high rates of depression, anxiety, and gender-based violence (WHO, 2022). At Yellow Table Talk, we believe that personal growth and leadership development cannot be fully realized without addressing well-being. That’s why we take a holistic approach, empowering girls and young women by simultaneously supporting their mental, emotional, and social well-being while developing their leadership and technical skills. By fostering self-worth, resilience, and confidence alongside capacity-building, we equip them to overcome obstacles, make informed decisions, and thrive as changemakers in their communities and careers. Our Mission To empower girls and young women through a holistic model that integrates well-being with leadership and technical skills development. Through mentorship, open dialogue, and initiatives like our signature Yellow Table Talk: Moms & Daughters Date, we create safe, inspiring spaces where they can grow, lead, and unlock their full potential.
